Getting to Cabo
There are several major US airlines that fly direct into Cabo San Lucas. Alaska Airlines, American Airlines and United Airlines are just a few. Stepping off the airplane is like stepping into a different world. There are a few ways to get to Villa La Estancia from the airport. The airport is located 22 miles from Villa La Estancia.

Airport Transportation options:
Take a taxi, shuttle bus, private car service or rent a car at the airport (there is underground secure parking at La Estancia).

A Timeshare Hustler who takes you to breakfast (just make sure that your round-trip airport ride is FREE and includes at least a bottle of Tequila!)

Most major car rental agencies such as Avis and Hertz are available at the airport; however, you need to make your rental reservation in advance. La Estancia can also arrange car transportation to and from the airport. Prior to leaving home, e-mail them your confirmation number and the concierge at the front desk will take care of you.

Identification
US Citizens, both adults and children need proof of citizenship in the form of a valid passport.

Money
US Citizens need proof of citizenship in the form of a valid passport, or birth certificate with another government issued photo ID. You also can get a Tourist Card from most airlines or the Mexican Consulates (there is a fee). Minors require notarized consent from their parent(s) if traveling alone, with one parent, or in someone’s care. Please note that entry requirements can change at any time.

Almost all purchases can be made on Mexican pesos or US dollars. We recommend using an authorized money exchange in order to get the official rate of the exchange. There is an ATM on-site and credit cards are generally accepted.

Telephones
You can call Canada and the United States directly by dialing 95, the area code and the telephone number. For other international long-distance calls the access number is 98. Dial 09 for operator assistance.

The Weather
Cabo San Lucas is located below the Tropic of Cancer with an average temperature of 78 degrees. I believe it is the perfect climate. The weather is always warm during the day, though the evenings can cool down somewhat. The San Jose del Cabo Region is on Mountain Time.

Getting to Town
Villa La Estancia is located one mile from Cabo San Lucas so a rental car is not necessary since taxi vans are easily assessable anywhere in Cabo.
